What do you hope and think the United States will be like in the future?

I'm almost 50 and during my life time I've seen America and Americans become softer and softer, less independent, less personally responsible, less self reliant, more dependent and more entitled. I've seen them lose the strength and the rugged independence that the American people once had. Our nation and our people are atrophying in a way. Compared to the people and workers in the developing and growing economies, we're becoming the 98 lbs weakling...or the 300 lbs, beer guzzling, couch potato shouting at our mom to bring us another beer. And that's not good. But worthless and lazy is a hard progression to reverse.
