To those who are for gun control?

i know y'all only want it to reduce crime but the whole reason we have the right to bear arms is so that we can rebel if our government became oppressed. and even if we take away that right people would still kill and criminals could get guns smuggled in from different countries so why do y'all want to get rid of the right to have guns
