How/Where can I look for summer jobs?

I'm a 14 year old female. I live a metropolitan area with about 4 to 5 thousand people. I'm looking on how to earn some money this summer. How should I ask people to babysit or mow lawns? Like what can I do to let people know I'm available? Any suggestions? Thanks.
