How are schools in Broward County and Miami Dade?

I am a 6th grade Social Studies teacher in Austin, TX and my husband and I will be moving to Ft Lauderdale,FL this summer. Can anybody please give me an honest answer? I will be attending the Broward County job fair in a few weeks so I would like to know what schools to avoid applying to. I would be applying for middle schools.
